Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is operated by SquareInch Contractors Ltd., doing business as SquareInch Contracting, of Toronto, Ontario. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you send an inquiry through our contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, company or property, email address, phone number, project type and the description of your project. If you email or call us directly, we keep the contents of that correspondence.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use this only to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, arrange a walkthrough and prepare a proposal.
To manage the project and our business relationship if you become a client.
To send occasional project insights and updates, but only if you ticked the opt-in box or otherwise gave us permission. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, form-processing and email providers, and only as needed for them to provide that service. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and project records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting and warranty obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time. Contact us at contact@squareinch.info or 647.394.6385. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
